Our Services Include

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation:

TMS therapy is a non-invasive medical procedure that involves the use of magnetic pulses to stimulate the prefrontal cortex of the brain. At NeuroWellness Utah, we use the NeuroStar Advanced Therapy System which is indicated for the treatment of depressive episodes and for decreasing anxiety symptoms for those who may exhibit comorbid anxiety symptoms in adult patients suffering from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and who failed to achieve satisfactory improvement from previous antidepressant medication treatment in the current episode.

This TMS system is also intended to be used as an adjunct for the treatment of adult patients suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Neurostar has been FDA approved for these uses.

This innovative therapy is administered by medical professionals in a clinical setting. It has proven to be a beneficial approach for treatment-resistant depression and mood disorders. Spravato is known for its rapid-acting antidepressant effects, often within hours or days, compared to traditional antidepressants. Treatments require in office observation for 2 hours for medical monitoring before the client can return home. Clients must have transportation arranged after appointments. They may not drive themselves. By the following morning, individuals who have undergone treatment may resume their normal activities.

Spravato:

IOP involves regular, scheduled sessions that typically occur several times a week. These sessions can include individual therapy, group therapy, art therapy, recreation therapy, or yoga. We focus on teaching practical coping skills, stress management techniques, and strategies to address the specific challenges the individual is facing. Our IOP program is more time-intensive than standard outpatient therapy but less intensive than inpatient care. It allows individuals to receive substantial therapeutic support while maintaining their daily routines. Participants in IOP are closely monitored for progress. The treatment plan may be adjusted based on the individual’s evolving needs and achievements.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment:

Our board certified psychiatrist will oversee the prescribing of medications and the education of the client on their use and potential side effects. The client’s ongoing well-being will continue to be monitored and evaluated in order to make adjustments as necessary.

Medication Management:

Our board certified psychiatrist will asses and diagnose individuals to determine the appropriate treatment for mental and emotional well-being. This evaluation involves a detailed clinical interview to gather information about the individual’s current and past mental health, medical history, family dynamics, and social context. Our psychiatrist will collaborate with the individual to develop a treatment plan to meet the client’s specific needs.
